Seán & Stephen won the commission to re-design 13 shop fronts on Hoe Street and Wood Street Walthamstow. The project saw us working with a mix of shops such as a newsagent, coffee shop, trainer shop and antique shop. As part of the project, we are required to manage all the budgets, including designer fee.
The myriad list of designs include bespoke floor tiling, cinema-style vitrine sign, hand-painted illustration, neon light box, metallic archway and dollhouse for carpet rolls! All these mini-projects shared a common starting point; to tell a proud story of the high street and to tease out the personalities of each shop they worked with, be that subtly, flamboyantly or otherwise.
